What do you know about ANIME + JAZZ? I have to give it up to the creators Shinichiro Watanabe & Yoko Kano. In Samurai Champloo their blend with hip hop and anime gave it a nostalgic and feel good feel to it. Then in Cowboy Bebop, the whole soundtrack gave in to Spike’s chill and cool character surrounding his presense with jazz. But with this new anime Shkamichi No Apollon (Kids on the Slope), they took jazz to a whole different level where they actually have their characters play the instruments. Shinichiro Watanabe and Yoko Kano – i Salute you on a job well done on all of your accomplishments.
